Whether you are decluttering your home, having building work done, are in-between moves or need additional office or commercial storage, Kennedy’s Removals & Storage can help to safely store your items, providing both short term or long-term storage in Newcastle upon Tyne.

We use a variety of storage systems to safely store your goods. Our indoor warehouse is completely dry and secure, with security doors and video surveillance equipment. This ensures the safe and secure storage of goods throughout the entire storage process.

Once your items enter our storage facility, they are labelled and stored accordingly. If you require access to your items during storage, or wish to collect them personally, we require at least 48-hour notice to book a visit. We will make your items available for you during your booked time slot.

If you are wanting your items to be delivered, we need more time to book this in, so please notify us at the earliest possible opportunity. We will then book in a removal delivery that suits you. Please note, hazardous items or perishable goods cannot be stored within our facility; this will invalidate any insurance on your items.

Furniture Storage

We can safely store your furniture if you are in between moves, re-decorating, building an extension or just need the extra storage space for any other reason.

We can collect your items and deliver them, or if you prefer, you can drop your items off to us. We can store all your belongings, including furniture, boxes and bags.

We have purpose built furniture storage crates available, or if you wish, you can store items on a pallet if this is more suitable.

Pallet storage

We offer pallet storage solutions within our warehouse. Pallet storage is generally suited for businesses which require additional storage, either long or short term.

We have a forklift on site, with spare pallets and pallet wrap available. We can also collect and deliver your pallets and items if required.

Typical items suitable for pallet storage include boxed goods and sacks.

Archive storage

We know office space is valuable, so we offer archive storage to help free up your office space. Documents can be stored in traditional archive boxes, or within our purpose built filing cabinet pallets.

We can collect and deliver you archived documents as required, with advanced notice. Collection and access to documents is available with 48 hours notice.

Paul assessed the situation and offered practical solutions, working flexibly as required over several days.
Paul and Simon kept us motivated, staying positive and non-judgmental as they worked hard to deal with the clearance, both in the house and garden.

They were patient with us, as things changed. They delivered mums stuff all the way from Newcastle to London.

Furthermore, after mum left, they cleared the remaining furniture & rubbish from the old house. Being trust worthy & collecting/returning the keys to the estate agent. Brilliant!  Great that mum didn’t have to see old house cleared & we didn’t need to return to clear from London.

After a positive experience using their sister company in the past, Kennedy's provided us with an excellent local house to house removal service. Paul is very easy to deal with, from the initial quote through to our moving day. The quote was very competitive, and Paul and Liza were easily contactable throughout; when arranging finer details and confirming the most suitable removal date. On our removal day the team arrived on time and worked tirelessly to make sure the move went as planned. All of our items were delivered undamaged and placed neatly in our new house. They also carried the larger items such as sofas, beds and wardrobes to their new rooms without any bangs or scuffs to the walls or doorframes. The team were very professional, polite and friendly throughout. Kennedy's sorted everything, they collected my items on time, stored them safely and returned them when I needed. The price was great compared to all the other quotes I had too. I highly recommend this company!

Storage FAQs

How much does pallet storage cost?

For one standard Euro pallet, it costs £40 to store for 1 month. We offer a discount on multiple storage. This price does not include collection or delivery.

How much does furniture storage cost?

For one of our purpose-built furniture crates, it costs £80 per month. We offer a discount on multiple storage. This price does not include collection or delivery.

How much does archive storage cost?

For a full four drawer filing cabinet, it costs £10 per month to store. We offer a discount on multiple storage. This price does not include collection or delivery.

Do you offer self storage?

No, we do not offer a self store option, however you can arrange access to your items with 48 hours notice.

How much notice do I need to give to access my items?

We ask for 48 hours notice to make your items available. We will book in a time slot to allow you to do this. If you need your items delivered, we will arrange a suitable date and time with you which will take longer.

What notice do I need to give to cancel my storage?

We ask for two weeks notice to cancel storage.

What size is a furniture crate?

Each crate has an approximate internal size of 250 square cubic feet. They are approximately 218cm deep x 157cm wide x 242cm tall.

What size pallet can you store?

Our standard euro pallets measure 1200cm x 800cm. They should be no more than 1 ton in weight and 1800cm in height.

Can you store oversized items?

If you need to store any large or unusual item, we may be able to accommodate you upon request.
